The primary reason was that the start-up needed to create its digital backend from the ground up. The owners did not have a previous website, but had a clear idea of what to expect from the site.

So the site would mainly serve as a showcase of the services offered by both the school and the hotel, introduce the customer to pricing, gain trust through testimonials, and attract attention with unconventional, playful graphics.

We knew from the start that we would have to cleverly tie the school and hotel into one, yet give a consistent, cohesive impression. The website was not to be complicated, and thanks to perfect collaboration with the client, we quickly got an idea of the design and structure.

Doing a website in this industry was completely new to us. At the same time, we had a completely free hand in terms of branding, so we spent perhaps the most time researching what would work best for this particular focus, what established local and international brands look like, etc.

To make the dog hotel and school look fun and playful, we chose an animated brown dog as the accompanying mascot, so we avoided real photos. We supported the impression with a predominantly white colour scheme with bold red for the action areas. The site consists of a general area such as introduction, contact, price lists, and then an area separately for the nursery and the hotel.

The text is as short, punchy and simple as possible. The brand's meaning is also cleverly supported by the logo, in which a dog can be seen leaping through the number five, which we felt was the perfect representation of the business name.

The customer was very excited that his website really stood out from the competition and would help him gain a client base more easily. We, on the other hand, were thrilled that together we quickly reached the mutually desired similarity, which was mainly due to the customer's comprehensive idea of how the website should be structured and content-wise.

We firmly believe that the resulting website and brand will be a solid support for the business and will help to easily communicate the services offered to customers for their beloved pets.
