For XTERRA Czech we have created an extensive website mapping the whole event around its triathlon. It covers everything from history to the present across all areas of their operations.

Reason

Year by year, Czech triathlon started to become a popular affair, which eventually became branded under the global XTERRA brand. As is common in sports, you need a lot of partners for such events and you need to meet a lot of set goals that have little to do with sport. Just for the new big launch, the Czech XTERRA needed to create a website that would provide information about all the races, events, history, offer training camp options, personal trainer services and much more. At the same time, it will be a platform where the partners, without whom no event would happen, will take a prominent enough position.

Challenge

There are many unique cases to cover across the entire website. This was not a small bite, but a big signpost that will make it clear how important XTERRA is. We knew the guidelines of the XTERRA brand and for the Czech offshoot we decided to make the most ambitious website of its kind yet.

The biggest challenge was also the whole dynamic of the site, where in the off-season everything is "winterized", but as the season comes, the various bridges drawing information about racers, tracks and so on must always be ready and functional. Obviously, not everything had to be filled with content by us, but anything that could be automated on the site, we did so.

Řešení

In a great and energetic cooperation with Michal Piloušek Jr., who is currently managing the XTERRA Czech triathlon, we created an extensive red, black and white website that could cover all online requirements from the perspective of visitors, competitors, partners and organizers. Often the different sections are supplemented with forms, questionnaires, timelines of schedules. Photos and videos are interspersed throughout. Many sections are designed in a punchy tile style to lift clarity. Blocks build on each other naturally, alternating backgrounds in brand colors.

The goal was to ensure that the site visitor would not get bored in any way and would find their way around the vast page system of options fairly quickly. We believe that our solution covered this.

Result

In addition to the website, the cooperation has borne much fruit and strengthened relationships. Opportunities have opened up for us to work more closely with the customer on other development challenges. By having to meet the XTERRA group's requirements, the website was given to the management for review, from whom we received fantastic feedback that it was one of the best websites under their brand. This is something that warmed our hearts after many weeks of hard work and clenched fists.
