Ensana Hotels

Ensana is constantly growing in number of hotels and countries. In order for such a growing company to rely on its website, higher business performance requirements arise. The design needs to be modern, unified and attractive, the content more manageable and more quickly accessible to visitors. This presented us with an opportunity to leverage our Aion system, developed over years, to support all of the company's goals.

The challenge was to overcome each area of the previous website. We had to unify and simplify the entire design communication across the portal. On the technical side, Aion's administration, built on the latest .NET and Angular technologies, had to be stress tested and optimised to ensure the site ran as smoothly as possible with global traffic. After the design and technical background, however, comes the data migration phase, which at 11,500 pages is a chapter in itself.

The greatest beauty of the whole portal is its cleanliness and orderliness, under which the user does not imagine the volume of thousands of pages, because he is guided to his choice of hotel and packages by a clear structure and filters. The change in structure was so fundamental that we could not use automated migration tools and all content was transferred manually to the Aion administration, where any part of the portal can be managed, over a period of several months.

To ensure the highest technical standards, we continuously rewrote and optimized the Aion administration, making us one of the first in the world to put the SSR functionality into practice in the first days of its release to Angular.

We have been working with Ensana for over 3 years now, which has given us a huge insight into the spa hotels and the operation of such a huge portal. The customer is very happy with the new look portal, we have successfully delivered faster page load times and there are a number of future enhancements to come to bring Ensana's site to the top of the world and further help increase the company's turnover.
