Institut Equilibrium

The Equilibrium Institute was founded as a politically independent organization that set out to explore society and the rules for its balanced development. On the basis of this knowledge, it then seeks to find a dynamic balance of processes and to find a way to achieve it. Seven professors from across disciplines set themselves such an uncomplicated goal and founded the Institute with additional support from the scientific community and others. The most effective way to disseminate such ideas is on a worthy web platform, which had to be created to offer adequate space for the ideas and actions they wanted to make known.

The project gave us a glimpse into an unusual responsible perception of our world. The target audience was not only to be the professional, but also the layperson, and of any age. So we had to be extremely careful about accessibility, clarity and keeping the interface simple enough while maintaining some unique look and feel of the site. This was the biggest challenge as we had no experience with a project like this before, we consulted a lot with the client on the purpose of the sections and what the message should be to retain the readers.

In order to respect the national colours, in which the Institute's logo was carried, we drew on the tricolour - blue, red and white. The homepage introduces the visitor to the organisation and also serves as a signpost throughout the site. However, the background of the platform is more complex than it may seem at first glance. This is because the site is meant to be ready for a constant expansion of content, with various exclusive content, lectures and more in consideration for users. We therefore designed a sufficiently modular solution that allowed us flexibility in terms of further development.

We are still working with the Institute and facilitating their digital expansion. It is an honour for all of us in the team to work with such Czech capacities, and on a website with very charitable intentions. We try to be as mutually accommodating as possible, as this cooperation brings many new opportunities for the future.
